New design for live fish carrier to Rostein AS

Rostein AS has contracted a new live fish carrier with Larsnes Mek Verksted AS and Skipskompetanse AS

The vessel is designed by Skipskompetanse AS and is the 9th live fish carrier contracted by Rostein with Skipskompetanse AS, and built at Larsnes Mek Verksted AS. Design ID for the design is SK-6100 DM LFC.

The vessel is a brand new design and features the best from the previously built vessels. The design will be Larsnes Mek Verksted’s build no. 67 and will measure 79.3 m long and 15 m wide. Fish hold capacity is 2800 m3. The new design is a slim version of the previously built vessels in the LFC2020 design series (Ro Arctic – Ro Venture), and will be equipped to transport smolt and salmon. The hull is expected to arrive at Larsnes for outfitting in november 2020.

Skipskompetanse is glad to be able to contribute to the development of the most advanced vessels in the fish farming industry together with Rostein and Larsnes. The design of a new concept allows to look back at what has been successful on previous designs and improve this to create the best possible result.

Skipskompetanse has for a long time worked on the concept and are closing in on finishing the documentation for the vessel.
