Gerd Julie

Støttfjord and Trondskjær was designed and developed in cooperation between owners, yard, equipment suppliers and designers. One main objective was to contribute to the environmentally friendly evolution in the coastal fishing vessels segment.

The vessels was adjusted to fit equipment and solutions specially designed to reduce environmental footprint and power consumption. Several of the introduced solutions has not been used for this vessel size before.

During the early design phase great efforts were put into optimizing the hull in a towing tank and using CFD analyses.

Støttfjord and Trondskjær has been fitted with a variable frequency hybrid propulsion system and was supported through Enova. Støttfjord was delivered to owner in December 2018.

In March 2023, Støttfjord was taken over by Kransvik Kystfiske AS and has been renamed Gerd Julie.
